My wife and I spent 3 nights at the Alexandra Barcelona the first week of May. From the time we arrived to the time we left, we had nothing but a positive experience. We stayed in a King Junior Suite. The room and bathroom area were spacious. We didn't get a chance to eat at the first floor restaurant, but did enjoy breakfast daily at the 2nd floor restaurant. The offerings were ample and the service was extremely prompt. Yeshi was our breakfast host/attendant. He worked the room well and helped everyone with whatever they needed. He kept the entire breakfast stocked at all times and was extremely polite. The location of the hotel is absolutely perfect. We prefer to explore a city by foot and there was a great deal within walking distance. There are plenty of food options to choose from and the hotel staff was able to make some great recommendations. We will absolutely stay at the Alexandra when visiting Barcelona again!

Friendly staff who helped with food recommendations and luggage. they were accommodating to our requests and helped with online food orders too. the room was well designed and we loved the small little balcony we had for fresh air It's centrally located to the high end and fast fashion shop streets as well as a 5 min walk from Casa Batlló and Casa Mila. Breakfast was pretty decent too (the pastries stood out in particular for us). Note that the room didnt have amenities like slippers and cotton pads / comb when we arrived but you can call housekeeping and they will provide it. Would definitely stay again!

I wish TripAdvisor could give half bubbles because I was debating between a 4 or 5 bubble rating. 5 bubbles: The location. It's in a very central area of Barcelona, walking distance to amazing restaurants and most of the main attractions. The staff: Everyone was very welcoming and professional. The receptionists are very helpful and warm. Big shout to the breakfast staff - the Taiwanese server (I forgot his name I'm sorry!) was SO welcoming and my friend and I were able to chat with him a little bit. He was great. The 4 bubbles: The room's value isn't worth the price tag. I felt a little deceived after reading the rave reviews, looking at the pictures and getting the recommendation from my friend. We got an upgrade but the room still felt small, dark, outdated and wasn't as clean as I would expect a highly reviewed property to be like. The walls are also very thin -- we heard staff speaking early in the morning right outside the room and voices from other rooms. I feel like the price is driven simply by the association with the Hilton brand name and for the same price I've stayed at exponentially better properties nearby. Also the elevator to head up to the top floors (if given an upgrade) are TINY. If you're claustrophobic it will not be a fun time. I ran into several Americans on the elevator and we joked that the capacity said 6 people and we were like "maybe 6 people from Spain, definitely not 6 Americans". It is SMALL. Get ready to wait and let several elevators pass by if you're looking to checkout at prime time breakfast and checkout time. Overall our stay was good -- but unsure why their prices are so wild for what you get.
